The brand new Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo has been officially presented to the public in a premiere, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
After pulling the wraps off its smaller brothers, the new B3 Bi-Turbo and the XD3 Bi-Turbo, Alpina has finally unveiled one of the hottest versions of the 7-Series luxury sedan ever, the so-called B7 Bi-Turbo. The model is getting some exterior and interior tweaks, along with new Alpina badges, which will help it stand out in a crowd and make its owner forget that what car he’s driving. A Black Panel LCD screen can be found in the cabin, along with the LAVALINA leather, blue dials with red pointers on the instrument cluster and much more.
The most important part of the brand new Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo is definitely found under its hood, where the 4,395 cc V8 engine is resting, which is producing a total output of 540 HP (397 kW) between 5,200 and 6,250 rpm, with a peak torque of 730 Nm (538 lb-ft), available between 2,800 and 5,000 rpm. The unit is mated to an eight-speed Sport Automatic ZF Switch-Tronic transmission, which is allowing the model accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds (4.5 in the LWB), before reaching a top speed of 312 km/h.
