BMW tuner Alpina has brought the new XD3 to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, where the model has been unveiled in a premiere.
After pulling the wraps off the brand new B3 Bi-Turbo, in its two body styles, Sedan and Touring, Alpina has unveiled the XD3 Bi-Turbo, during the same Swiss automotive event. This is one good news for those of you looking for a unique crossover which screams “look what I can do” because the model is getting ready to be launched, even if its creators didn’t announce its price just yet.
Alpina says that the brand new XD3 Bi-Turbo is powered by a 3.0 liter twin-turbo engine, made out of aluminum, which is producing a total output of 350 HP (257 kW) at 4,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), available between 1,500 and 3,000 rpm. The engine is mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. Alpina didn’t announce any performance details on the new XD3 Bi-Turbo just yet but the powerful crossover is burning 6.8 liters of fuel every 100 km in an average cycle (34.5 mpg UK / 41.5 mpg US). Additional details on the new Alpina XD3 Bi-Turbo are limited for the moment and will be announced soon.
