Audi has brought the new A3 e-tron Concept to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, where the model has been officially presented to the public in a premiere.
After it was unveiled just a few weeks ago, the new Audi A3 e-tron Concept is being placed into the spotlights once more, this time with the German based automaker bringing it to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Audi didn’t release additional details on the model except for what is known already, like its impressive fuel consumption of just 1.5 liters every 100 km, thanks to the petrol-electric hybrid system, so don’t act too surprised if you will see it in production form in the nearby future.
The same powertrain was recently seen in the Volkswagen Golf 7 Plug-in Hybrid, in the same configuration, and it’s coming with the EA211 1.4 liter four-cylinder petrol burner, producing 148 BHP, mated to an electric motor, mounted in the front, which is generating 101 BHP. The total output produced stands at 201 BHP and the torque number is 258 lb-ft. Power is being sent to the front wheels through a six-speed dual clutch transmission, which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 7.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 138 mph.
