Jeep has brought the European version of the 2014 Compass to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, where the model has been unveiled for the first time.
After being announced for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the European version of the new Jeep Compass is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker bringing it to the Swiss automotive event. The 2014 Jeep Compass in question is looking very similar to the American variant and the model will go on sale on the Old Continent starting with the second quarter of this year.
Future owners of the 2014 Jeep Compass in Europe will have to choose between three trim levels, the Sport, the Limited and the new North, with standard items including the power and heated side mirrors, keyless entry, air conditioning and more. The 2014 Jeep Compass, in its European version, will also get side airbags, ParkView rear camera, electronic roll mitigation, cruise control, ABS, HAS and a new six-speed PowerTech automatic transmission, amongst others.
Jeep still didn’t release any technical details on the 2014 Compass in its European version but rumors are saying that the engine lineup will include the 2.0 L with 158 HP (118 kW) and 191 Nm (141 lb-ft) of torque, a 2.4 L with 172 HP (128 kW) and 223 Nm (165 lb-ft) of torque and a 2.2 liter CRD diesel with two outputs, 136 HP (101 kW) and 163 HP (121 kW). Additional details on the 2014 Jeep Compass aimed towards the Old Continent remain unknown for the moment.
