Today, March 5th, Ford unveiled the 2014 Fiesta ST at the Geneva Motor Show.
Several days ago Ford announced that the starting price for the 2014 Fiesta ST begins at $22,195, with $2,000 cheaper than the larger and more powerful Ford Focus ST. the price can reach $30,000 if fully-equipped. The model comes with a standard 1.6 liter turbocharged I-4 four-cylinder engine, producing a total output of 197 HP and it has a peak torque of 214 lb-ft, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
The automaker has recently started production of the new Fiesta ST in Cologne, Germany. Ford says that the Fiesta ST is being assembled on the same line as the regular version of the popular hatchback, which leaves the factory in both left-hand drive and right-hand drive. The model can already be ordered in several markets, and it comes fitted with a DAB Radio, cloth Recaro seats, front fog lights, 17-inch alloy wheels and more.
The model comes in two body styles, with three or five doors. It is fitted with a 1.6 liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, which is producing a total output of 180 HP (132 kW) and it has a peak torque of 240 Nm (177 lb-ft). the six-speed manual transmission allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 220 km/h (137 mph).
