Geneva Motor Show LIVE: Smart ForTwo Cabrio Brabus image

The little car that could is packing a punch in Geneva this year as the Daimler subsidiary has opted to introduce in a worldwide premiere the coolest version to date – the fortwo cabrio Brabus edition.

The company’s smallest convertible was a highly anticipated addition to the range, especially since Brabus is on point to deliver the sporty goodies. Spicing up the package are the wide range of cosmetic tweaks that begin with the exclusive matt light blue body paint. We also saw the soft top with a bespoke titanium grey finish and the interior comes with a black on blue theme with imitation leather and fabric surfaces featuring a mesh look. Brabus also opted for the accent trim to have the same shade as the bodywork and the blue paint is also present on the leather-look seats and topstitching on the dashboard. The smart fortwo Brabus edition will be limited to just 200 units and they will all be sourced from the 66 kW (90 hp) cabrio model packing the six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The passion line is used and this one comes nicely fitted with heated seats, Cool & Media package, Stowage Space package, and LED & Sensor package, among others.

The tuner also adds as a standard amenity the newly showcased Brabus Sports package with body-colored Brabus front spoiler and rear apron, matt grey rear diffuser and sportier suspension setup dropping the ride height by 10 mm and also sporting the matt grey Brabus Monoblock IX 16-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. The pack also brings its own cabin tweaks, including the three-spoke leather steering wheel with new topstitching and anthracite bezel, brushed stainless steel sports pedals with rubber studs and a Brabus leather shift lever knob and handbrake lever. The limited series will become available later this month with pricing in Germany starting from a rather mind-bending 29,950 euros. The Brabus Sports package on its own will set owners back €1,900 for the fortwo and €2,000 for the forfour – it can be selected on the fortwo, forfour, and fortwo cabrio models packing the 52 kW (71 hp) or the 66 kW (90 hp) engines.
