Alongside the new Golf Variant, Volkswagen displays the Golf Variant Concept R-Line, which shows the dynamic potential of the new estate.
There has never been a Golf Variant in R-Line design, with the concept showing how Volkswagen might envision this version. On the exterior, the Golf Variant Concept R-Line has, among others, customised front and rear ends, powerful sill trims and new 18-inch R-Line wheels. The interior is characterised by leather sports seats and other elements in carbon fibre look. The car is powered by a 150 PS 2.0-liter TDI that also develops up to 320 Nm of torque. The concept is also equipped with 4MOTION all-wheel drive with new Haldex-5 clutch.
The side profile is dominated by the 18-inch „Salvador” R-Line wheels painted in „sterling silver” and the glossy black sill trims. At the front, the newly designed bumper in the R-Line design shows a dominant air intake in the middle that is bordered on the bottom by front spoilers painted in body colour (“Lapis Blue Metallic”). Underneath are the splitters, a visual continuation of the black side sills.
The rear end is dominated by a sporty and distinctive black diffuser, with integrated chrome tailpipes on the left side. There’s also a roof spoiler by R-Line design.
On the inside, the Golf Variant Concept R-Line comes with sport seats covered with nappa leather in „Space Blue” and with black carbon leather accents throughout the interior.
