Geneva Preview: Ford ‘Metal’ Ka

Ford has introduced the ‘Metal’ Ka at the Geneva motor show.

The Metal Ka replaces the Tattoo version and sits alongside the Grand Prix and Digital models which add an extra layer of style and fun to Ka for customers who want to make a bolder statement.

Metal KA is based on the Zetec model line and comes with chrome door and tailgate handles, chrome ‘Ka’ badging, silver 16-inch alloys - or black as an optional extra - and gloss grille surround.

“With Metal Ka we’re looking at fashion and also a little bit of luxury. You often see high gloss black in large and luxury segment cars but combined with the chrome this is something that is really fun,” said Martin Smith, Ford of Europe’s executive design director.

Metal Ka is available with the 1.3-litre Duratorq TDCi and 1.2-litre Duratec engine. As part of Ford’s commitment to deliver enhanced fuel consumption and low CO₂ across the range, all Ka models are already fitted with Auto-Start-Stop technology as standard.
