The French based automaker Renault has recently presented, during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Twizy, the Megane RS and the facelifted version of the Scenic.
After announcing the starting price of the Renault Twizy in France, which has been set at 6,990 euros, the car manufacturer has decided that the small model would be just what the company needs at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, and in an attempt to attract more customers into the brand, the Twizy was presented at the Swiss event. The small model is coming in two versions, with 5 horsepower and 33 Nm of torque, which is eligible for young people under 18 (Twizy 45), being able to reach 45 km/h, and the 17 HP version, which can accelerate up to 80 HP.
The Renault Megane RS has also shared the same space with the Twizy, during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, three years after the hot hatch has made its world debut during the same automotive event. The Megane RS displayed at the Renault stand in Geneva didn’t bring anything new to the lineup, but even so, we must admit that it’s still quite good looking.
Renault has also presented, during the same Swiss event, the facelifted version of the Scenic facelift, which has a starting price of 18,325 GBP in the UK, coming with two new engines which are expected to enter the range starting from April, the 1.2 TCe petrol unit, which is developing 115 HP, while returning 49.6 mpg with 135 g/km of CO2, and the 1.5 liter dCi, with stop/start, returning an average of 68.9 mpg and emitting 105 g/km of CO2.
