George Clooney to auction his Tesla Roadster for charity image

The famous American actor George Clooney will auction his Tesla Roadster for charity at the Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach auction set for next month.

The Academy Award-winning actor, who is well known for his philanthropic exploits, will auction his Tesla Roadster at the Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach auction in September and all the money will be given to one of his charities, the Satellite Sentinel Project, co-founded with John Prendergast, a human rights activist. The charity is aiming to prevent a return to civil war between the Northern and the Southern Sudan.

“We admire and respect Mr. Clooney’s talent and dedication to making a difference in our international community, and hope his fantastic car will attract great support for the Satellite Sentinel Project and recognition of the lives his work saves every day”, said the company’s president, David Gooding.

The Tesla Roadster in question is finished in Obsidian Black Metallic paint and it’s number eight of the original “Signature 100”, made in 2008. The model is coming with a premium two-tone interior. George Clooney’s Tesla Roadster has been estimated to a value of 100,000 USD to 125,000 USD, but considering the fact the all the money will be donated, the model might receive more.
