Thursday night, May 16th, George Michael was injured in a car crash which took place on the M1 motorway at around 5:50 p.m.
The singer’s spokeswoman confirmed the crash on Friday: “George Michael was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic accident yesterday evening, no third party was involved. He is being treated for superficial cuts and bruises but is fine. We have no further comment at this time.”
George Michael was a passenger in the car which crashed near Watford, England. Fortunately, the 47-year-old singer suffered minor injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment. Another man involved in the crash had to be taken by air ambulance to the nearest trauma center in London for a head injury.
Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “A man who we believe to be in his 40s sustained a head injury and following treatment, stabilization and immobilization by land and air ambulance crews, he was flown to hospital for further care.”
Back in July 2010, George Michael was arrested due to driving under influence, after he drove his Range Rover into the Snappy Snaps photo shop, early in the morning. He pleaded guilty for DUI and got two months in the Pentonville Prison, north London.
