Besides the aforementioned “goodies”, the vehicle is also getting the 16-inch Copenhagen style alloy wheels, which have a double role. The most important part of the Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion is definitely found under its hood, where the 1.6 liter TDI diesel burner is resting. This is capable of producing a total output of 120 HP (88 kW) and it has a peak torque of 250 Nm (184 lb-ft). Unfortunately VW hasn’t announced any performance details on the car but we do know that the engine is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission which is allowing it to eat just 3.7 liters of fuel every 100 km (76.3 mpg UK / 63.5 mpg US) and to emit 96 g/km of CO2.
