Audi Sport is hard at work preparing for the next premiere in its extensive lineup – the RS4 Avant has been caught by the preying eyes of the spy photographers getting the final touches.
And the division has also taken the wraps off the all-new 2018 RS5 Coupe at last month’s Geneva Motor Show, but we’re naturally people looking forward to the future. And we’re not alone, as the digital artists thrive on such occasions – two of the alternate renders try to see the upcoming Cabriolet and first-ever Sportback from the RS lineup. As for the RS5 Shooting Brake, it will naturally never happen and because this is not a forbidden fruit we’re voting for this one to take home to our dream garage.
The rumors have been swirling about the apparition of a an RS5 Sportback, though there’s no official word from the Ingolstadt-based company. Reports have been talking about the arrival of the RS5 Coupe this June – followed by the RS4 Avant in December, with the most likely premiere in September during the Frankfurt Motor Show. Meanwhile, the RS5 Cabriolet and the RS5 Sportback have been programmed for 2018. All of them will feature the exact same setup – the all-new biturbo 2.9-liter V6 packing 450 horsepower (331 kilowatts) and 442 pound-feet (600 Newton-meters) of torque, sent to the Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
