Its full name is a dead giveaway to its existence – it’s called the Breitling for Bentley Supersports B55, so we know getting the fastest Bentley ever will also get you a bespoke Swiss watch.
The watchmaker Breitling was established back in 1884 and has been known as an aviator’s watch – but the company also started a fruitful partnership with one of the large luxury automakers – Bentley, back in 2003. This is how the Breitling for Bentley line of watches was born and the latest installment is called the Supersports B55, the accompanying watch to Bentley’s latest and finest. But better hurry, because we don’t exactly know how many 2017 Bentley Continental GT Supersports will be produced, but the Supersports B55 is only getting a production of 500 units. The timepiece should be a mindful and “tactile reminder of the landmark car’s performance credentials” – yes, those 710 PS (700 hp) and 1,017 Nm (750 lb-ft) of torque coming from the 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 that make it the fastest and quickest accelerating Bentley in existence.
The watch meanwhile has a titanium case matching the Supersports’ optional titanium exhaust system. The dial gets carbon fiber and there’s also a red-edged black rubber strap. It’s also a chronograph with electronic movement, so the Supersports B55 adds two small LCD screens tailored for quick owners. It’s a connected timepiece and thus includes an app for reviewing and storing data on the phone, coming from the lap timer, tachymeter, and the fact that it can record up to 30 rally stages, including the departure date, start time, the duration and intermediate times for each stage.
