GM Takes the Most Awards in the 2013 Best Cars for Families Rankings image

The U.S. News & World Report announced the winners for the 2013 Best Cars for Families rankings, and GM managed to take home the most awards.

The 2013 Best Cars for Families awards include 19 categories and they are offered to vehicles that offer the best combination of space, quality and features. The U.S. News & World Report is known for its long history of helping customers in the US make the best choices when it comes to healthcare, higher education and other important consumer decisions.

“We created the Best Cars for Families awards to make it easier for parents to find cars, SUVs and vans that will help make their lives easier,” said Jamie Page Deaton, Managing Editor of U.S. News Best Cars. “With such a broad range of award winners, any family can find the best car for their lifestyle.”

GM managed to take home the most awards with three of its brands and 6 models: Cadillac Escalade, Buick Lacrosse, Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Traverse and Chevrolet Suburban. Foreign automakers took nine awards from the total of 19, the rest of 10 awards being taken, of course, by domestic brands.
