The North American based automotive giant GM has been recently spotted by spy photographers while testing the new generation of the Corvette with its European rivals.
General Motors really needs the new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to be a success in Europe, but before the model will make its way onto the Old Continent, the carmaker is currently testing it against its rivals. GM has been spotted by spy photographers while testing the brand new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray with a Ferrari 458 Italia, with a McLaren MP4-12C, with a Porsche 911 Carrera S and with an Audi R8 V10 Spider.
As a quick reminder, the brand new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is coming in two body styles, Coupe and Roadster. The model is weighing 3,298 lbs without the Z51 package, on the Coupe, which is actually 90 lbs more than the C7. The new Corvette generation is powered by a 6.2 liter LT1 V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 450 HP (336 kW) and 450 lb-ft of torque (609 Nm). This is enough for a 0 to 60 mph sprint in less than 4 seconds. The model is getting features like the updated Bose audio system, the SiriusXM sat-radio, heads-up display, Nappa leather seats, Magnetic Ride Control, sports seats, Drive Mode Selector, keyless entry, digital instrument cluster and much more.
