Billed as the first and only premium mid-size pickup truck available on the US market, GMC has premiered recently the 2017 Canyon Denali just prior to the official public debut scheduled during the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Denali has been billed by GMC as its final expression of “professional grade style, luxury and capability” with the upscale 2017 Canyon Denali slotted to reach US showrooms in late 2016. “Canyon is the segment’s first and only premium midsize truck, offering unparalleled capability and efficiency matched with maneuverability and refinement,” comments Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing. The Denali nameplate has been used by GMC for almost 17 years now and comes to the Canyon family with a restyled chrome grille and unique wheels: 20 inch ultra-bright-machined aluminum wheels with painted accents. Other exterior highlights include the five-inch-diameter rectangular chrome assist steps, a polished exhaust tip, a standard spray-in bed liner and chrome fog lamp bezels.
The cabin also receives exclusive Denali amenities: a Jet Black interior with Mulan leather-appointed seats (perforated, heated-and-ventilated front seats) and modified instrument panel and console trim as well as Denali-logo sill plates and floor mats. Other highlights include the GMC IntelliLink with Navigation, an eight-inch-diagonal color touchscreen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot or automatic climate control.
The midsize Canyon Denali will be available in crew cab body versions only and FWD or all-wheel drive configurations.
