Google CEO Larry Page Plans to Give All His Money to Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk? image

Larry Page, Google CEO and co-founder, said that after he dies he wants his money to go to people like Elon Musk, Tesla’s founder.

Present at a TED conference, Larry Page told Charlie Rose that all his money should go to people who are able of changing the world, such as Elon Musk. Elon Musk, who is the head of Tesla Motors, Solar City and SpaceX, plans to take people to Mars. This idea is what caught Page’s attention and inspired him.

“You’re working because you want to change the world and make it better,” Page said during the interview. “If the company you work for is worthy of your time, why not your money as well?”

Musk has indeed proved its capability of bringing significant changes to the industry and revolutionary ideas. He has developed vast solar arrays, electric-powered sports cars and even rocket ships which carry goods to the International Space Station and which can land vertically so that they can be reused.

“[Musk] is honored by Larry’s comments and very much admires what he has accomplished with Google,” a Tesla spokeswoman wrote in an e-mail.

Page is on the 13th place in Forbes’ 2013 list which includes the 400 richest people in the US. Larry Page has a net worth of $24.9 billion, while Musk has $6.7 billion, taking the 61st place.
