The environmental activists from Greenpeace aren’t too happy about the fuel consumption of the new generation Volkswagen Golf and they have showed their disappointment regarding the efficiency of the model.
Some of you may not be satisfied on the exterior looks of the 2013 Volkswagen Golf 7 but the environmental activists at Greenpeace aren’t too happy about the fuel consumption of the vehicle and they think that the German based automaker could have offered a better fuel economy compared to the 4.9 liters / 100 km advertised.
Honestly we don’t care how much the new Golf consumes and we care even less what Greenpeace has to say about it and when 50 people protest during the launch of the model that means that they have too much free time. The VW CEO Martin Winterkorn told the protesters that the new Golf is “the right answer to rising fuel prices” and also mentioned about the Golf BlueMotion which is burning 3.2 liters / 100 km (88 mpg UK / 73 mpg US). More details on the new generation of the Volkswagen Golf, the MK7 2013 model year, can be read here.
