Ford is currently promoting the upcoming Halo 5 video game with a one-off F-150 Halo Sandcat.
The upcoming Halo 5: Guardians video game is getting ready to be introduced and there is a connection with the automotive industry in the shape of the one-off Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat which has been created in order to promote it. The car manufacturer has joined forces with Galpin Auto Sports, 343 Industries and Xbox in order to create this unique version of the pickup truck which, we have to admit, it does look quite appealing.
“Based on the all-new Ford F-150, the toughest, smartest, most capable F-150 ever, F-150 Halo Sandcat is special enough to have been officially designated the M552 codename by the United Nations Space Command – closely matching F-150’s official Ford codename, P552”, says the carmaker in its official press release.
The new Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat is featuring the 17-inch wheels wrapped in off-road tires, a full Halo wrap on its body, dual displays mounted in the back of the front headrests for the Xbox One console, the FX4 off-road package, the Deaver leaf springs, ADD fenders and side steps, FOX Racing shocks and several other goodies. It has been based on the 2015 F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4×4 and it has a 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine under its hood. The model will be showcased at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and at several public events. The new Halo 5: Guardians will be hitting Xbox One on the 27th of October.
