A Santa Clara, California, doctor had bought a 2008 Chrysler Town&Country MPV from the Thrifty rental company for $14.000 and after 15 months, when he took it to the dealership to replace the usual stuff, the mechanic had found 500.000 USD worth of cocaine.
An honest American citizen named Charles Preston had the surprise of his life after he bought a 2008 Chrysler Town&Country from a rental company and after 15 months the mechanic found a lot of cocaine inside the vehicle’s doors, wrapped in plastic, after the MPV was taken to the dealership to replace the brake pads.
We don’t actually know how the mechanic managed to find the cocaine hidden inside the doors but the MPV’s owner, doctor Charles Preston, had quickly announced the police, who came and took both the cocaine and the vehicle, looking for tracking devices fitted to the car because there was a great danger of someone looking for its lost cocaine.
After he got his car back, Charles Preston took it to Thrifty to be replaced but the rental company only offered him the standard price tag which was 4.000 USD less than what he paid for it. Realizing that they’ve made a mistake, the company’s managers had finally replaced the vehicle.
The local police said that the owner of the 2008 Chrysler Town&Country had been very lucky because if he had been stopped at a routine check he would have been arrested.
