Nicknamed pretty demonstrative the “25th Anniversary Edition” HPE 800, this Ford Mustang has all the credentials to become a collector’s item – such as blazing fast 207.9 mph (334 km/h) maximum speed.
Hennessey really knows how to make cars with the Mustang priced at $99, 500. For that money – which is enough to buy a plot of land – the aftermarket specialist lends you its expertise in making you forget about real life. The 5.0-litre V8 packs an upgraded supercharger system (a 2.9-litre supercharger), along with a carbonfibre high flow air induction kit, updated fuel injectors and a better fuel pump, a recalibrated ECU and of course, other subtle tweaks.
The exterior modifications are pretty easy to distinguish. We have a new and aerodynamic body kit that includes front splitter, rear lip spoiler, lots of badges and anniversary graphics. The you’re also treated to beautified 20 inch wheels, wider at the back, along with 15 inch Brembo brakes and a lowered suspension kit. Instead of the standard 416 bhp of the pony car, the version is a true muscle car that will shame the Hellcat with its 804bhp and impressive 648lb ft of torque. That’s good for 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, a quarter mile in 10.7secs at 133mph, and a maximum speed of 207.9mph.
