The aftermarket specialists at Hennessey Performance Engineering have recently announced their plans to introduce the first upgrade package for the brand new 2014 Corvette Stingray.
The new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette is ending up in our news and while GM is preparing a ZR1 version and a convertible, cheap one of the most famous tuners on the continent, Hennessey, is getting ready to release an upgrade package for the popular sports car. According to the tuning company, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will receive two different performance packages, one of them for the Coupe and one for the Convertible.
The first power kit will add a supercharger, and this is enough to allow the sports car to put down 700 BHP (522 kW), while the second one will use twin turbos, and this will transform its output’s figure into approximately 800 to 1000 BHP (596 – 746 kW). Hennessey says that both packages will be based on the regular engine, the LT1 6.2 liter V8, which is generating 450 BHP (336 kW) and 450 lb-ft of torque (609 Nm) in standard. The 2014 Corvette Stingray will also receive a cat-back exhaust, a sport tuned suspension, high performance braking system, new wheels and tires and more. The packages are expected to make their way onto the market by the end of the year.
