Hennessey Performance has recently announced its plans to develop the Venom F5 which will come with an even higher top speed of 467 km/h (290 mph).
Hennessey’s newest creation will be called the Venom F5 and this will be one of the fastest vehicles on the market, as the company is stating that it could achieve a top speed of no less than 467 km/h (290 mph). The announcement has been made by John Hennessey, the owner of the company, in a recent interview with Top Gear. According to our source, the “290 mph range” is quite possible and he has referred to the car as being the Venom F5.
The model in question will be adopting the rear-wheel drive layout and it will be coming with a 6-speed manual transmission and with a single clutch paddle shift gearbox. Hennessey has dropped the dual clutch gearbox because of the weight and durability issues. Power will be provided by a 7.0 liter V8 engine, which will be producing more than 1,400 HP (1,044 kW) and this can make it even more powerful than the Koenigsegg One:1. The Venom is weighing 1,244 kg and the carbon fiber bodied F5 will stand at below 1,300 kg. More than 30 units of the Venom F5 are planned by Hennessey and each one will cost 1.2m USD before taxes.
