Hennessey Performance has recently announced that the 2013 model year Venom GT Spyder will be officially launched in 2012, and its price will be set at 1.1 million USD.
According to the North American based manufacturer, the 2013 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder will be developing a total output of 1.200 horsepower (895 kW) from its twin-turbo V8 engine and its total weight is 1.200 kg (2.645). Hennessey Performance didn’t announce any more details about the new Venom GT Spyder and it’s currently keeping its creation into the shadows, telling to its European competitors that “it’s there” and it will soon hit the market.
“We are excited to be able to offer an open air American supercar, built in Texas, that provides the best power to weight ratio available on the market. Simply put, the Venom GT Spyder is defined by its simplicity, elegance, performance and – for a lucky few – a driving experience like nothing else on Earth”, said the company’s founder, John Hennessey.
“With the hardtop in place, the Venom GT offers a very visceral, raw, driving experience. With the hardtop removed, the wind and the growl of the twin turbo V8will offer our clients an even greater driving sensation”, added the company’s CEO, Don Goldman.
The 2013 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder will be delivered to its future customers starting from mid-2012 and Hennessey Performance says that only five Coupe or Spyder vehicles will be produced as a 2013 model year. Prices for the Coupe have been set at 950.000 USD while the Spyder will cost 1.1 million USD.
