Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer Appointed Rolls-Royce’s Director for Mainland China image

Beginning July 1st Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer will be Rolls-Royce’s Director for Mainland China, which reflects China’s growing importance to the super luxury auto maker.

Wilhelmsmeyer has previously worked in senior roles for BMW Group, the last six years working in China. Now he is Head of the China South Region for BMW, promoted from his previous position as Head of Dealer Development. Paul Harris will remain Regional Director for the Asia Pacific Region, being responsible for all Asia Pacific markets, excluding China.

“I am delighted to announce this important new role for Rolls-Royce”, said Jolyon Nash, Director, Sales and Marketing. “China has become one of our most important markets globally and Henrik, with his broad experience and strong track record, is ideally suited to further develop our strong position in this region. “

In 2011 China surpassed the US becoming Rolls-Royce’s leading sales market. Last year the company’s sales were up 31%, to 3,538 units, the highest sales record in Rolls-Royce history of 108 years.
