Hertz Global Holdings announced that its CFO Elyse Douglas will leave the company on October 1st for personal reasons.
The news comes ahead of Hertz Global Holdings’ headquarters relocation to southern Florida from the New York metropolitan area. In May the car-rental company said that the key executive team, including the CFO, will move with Hertz Global from Park Ridge, N.J., to Estero, Fla., establishing residency in Florida. Recently Elyse Douglas informed the company that due to personal reasons she will not be able to relocate from New York.
“Being CFO of Hertz has been a fantastic professional experience and it’s disappointing that I’m not able to join the senior team in Florida,” said Ms. Douglas.
Still, Ms. Douglas will not leave the company until December 31st and until then she will help with some strategic projects and also help her successor in assuming the new position. The company will take into consideration both internal and external candidate for the CFO position and Hertz International Ltd. CFO David J. Rosenberg will be the one to take over on an interim basis during the search.
Hertz’s profit during the second quarter increased 31% thanks to a boost in its equipment-rental and car-rental segments.
