Hertz and Penske Racing have recently pulled the wraps off a special edition of the Mustang GT, which is adding some interesting features to the muscle car.
The new Hertz Penske Mustang GT has a familiar black and gold exterior finish but the model has been also equipped with the front splitter and the rear valence of the Shelby GT. Add-ons don’t stop here because the muscle car in question is also getting some special door sill plates, custom floor mats, gauge pod from the Laguna Seca Mustang, Recaro racing seats and the MyFord Touch infotainment system, amongst others.
“There’s nothing more thrilling than hitting the open road in a high-performance, American-built sports car. With this addition to our Adrenaline Collection, we are introducing a vehicle with race car performance enhancements to give customers a unique travel experience”, said the Hertz CEO, Mark Frissora.
The Hertz Penske Mustang GT is also coming with 3.55 gearing, Brembo braking system and a sport-tuned suspension. The muscle car is powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine, with an optimized ECU, a new air intake and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. No power specifications have been released yet but the standard unit has 420 HP (313 kW) and 528 Nm of torque (390 lb-ft). More details on the model are limited for the moment.
