Bentley is planning to introduce a new high-performance version of the outgoing Continental GT which will be officially unveiled this month, during the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
After officially unveiling the track only Continental GT3 last year, Bentley is currently planning to pull the wraps off a high-performance version of the Continental GT, at this year’s edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet but according to a report published by Autocar, the British marquee will present the top version of the luxury cruiser at the automotive event which will start at the end of this month.
The Bentley Continental GT high-performance will most likely adopt the RS moniker and it will be significantly lighter than the one already available, coming with some aerodynamic tweaks such as the rear wing and other bits and pieces. The model should be produced in approximately 30 units and all of them have been already sold to UK customers. The high-performance Continental GT will come with 700 HP (522 kW) which will be delivered to the rear-wheel drive. More details on the model will be announced on the 26th of June, when it should be making its debut at Goodwood.
