Have you been waiting for many years to finally see the rebirth of the Italian sports car brand? Well, if you did and you’re a true car “groopie”, there’s no other solution than to try and snatch a unit of the limited edition Alfa Romeo Harrison Custom Guitar Works.
The British custom guitar gurus from Harrison have teamed up with the automaker to celebrate the Alfa Romeo brand heritage – and hopefully the fast approaching global revival of the premium marquee.
The thing is the limited edition guitar will be a hard catch, as the Yorkshire, UK-based Harrison Guitar Works is only coming up with 11 of the beautifully crafted musical instrument, complete with hand-built mastery to celebrate each decade of history for the Italian brand.
“As a concept, the ‘Alfa Romeo’ guitar seeks to mirror the passion, the curves, the sportiness, and the occasionally unconventional designs you get with Alfa Romeo through the grille shape, the use of high quality materials and the sleek body,” said Guy Harrison, owner of Harrison Custom Guitar Work.
Each and every guitar needs around eight months to complete – so hopefully by the time they’re all manufactured Fiat Chrysler Automobiles chief executive Sergio Marchionne would have also presented at least one new model for the brand’s revival. While the item is definitely a collectors piece, the price is by no means inaccessible – with each costing around £4,000 (about $6,800 or €5,000).
