Holden Malibu arrives in Australia image

The Australian based automaker Holden has recently launched the Malibu mid-sized sedan on its local auto market, where the model has been priced from 28, 490 AUD.

According to the car manufacturer, the Holden Malibu is coming in two trim levels, the Malibu CD and the Malibu CDX, with the CD being the cheapest version, at just 28,490 AUD, while the CDX costing 31,990 AUD. Standard items on the CD include the climate control, rearview camera, park assist, cruise control, nine-speaker audio system with 7-inch color touch screen, Holden MyLink, power height adjustable driver’s seat, ISOFIX, 17-inch alloy wheels and much more.

Power to the Holden Malibu is being provided by a 2.4 liter four-cylinder petrol engine, which is producing a total output of 123 kW and it has a peak torque of 225 Nm. For an extra 4,000 AUD, each version can get the optional 2.0 liter common rail turbo diesel 2.0 liter engine, which is good for 117 kW and 350 Nm of torque. Both units are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The petrol is burning 8.0L / 100km and the diesel is rated at 6.4L / 100km.
