American actor, singer, and comedian Jamie Foxx – his real name is actually Eric Marlon Bishop – has proved that because he can act it doesn’t mean he’s not a real life hero.

While the actor is looking to attribute a low key to his implication in the following events, the truth is the actor did save a man recently who got trapped inside a burning vehicle following a horrible crash that happened right on the doorstep of his home in Los Angeles. He was assisted by another “hero” after Foxx heard the accident’s noise and subsequent screams for help of the victim and the actor used EMT scissors to break the truck’s window and extract the injured driver out of the burning wreckage. “I don’t think of it as heroic, I just did what I had to do. I climbed in and tried to hit his seat belt, but he’s huddled over it, so I grab the scissors and cut the seatbelt. […] We pull him out and as we pull him out, within five seconds later, the truck goes up,” commented Foxx the feat when interviewed by local media.

Corroborating with reports of the incident, the actor told the California Highway Patrol he heard the noise and a person screaming and he also called 911. The driver was then rushed to the hospital by the Ventura County firefighters and paramedics – he sustained a broken collarbone and a punctured lung and following investigation the Police said the driver was charged with Driving Under Influence. The victim’s dad even visited Foxx at his home and after leaving the premises he told reporters “It doesn’t matter to me who it was or what they do for a living. Just the idea that someone would do that is so much more than I could fathom.”
