Honda has recently announced its plans to introduce three engine options for the Amaze in India later on this year, when the model will be launched.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the Honda Amaze will become available in India as a sedan and it has been made in order to be safer and to provide a first choice of upgrade for a hatchback owner. The Honda Amaze will get a choice of three engine options once it will hit Indian soil this September, with the first one being a 1,498cc Earth Dreams with 16-valve and a 5-speed manual transmission, which is good for 100 PS at 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm.
Another unit available for the model will be a 1,198cc with 16-valve and a 5-speed manual transmission, which is producing 88 PS at 6,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 109 Nm, available at 4,500 rpm. Last but not least, Indians will be able to order the same unit mentioned above, in the same configuration, but mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox. The Honda Amaze has been developed in Thailand, at the company’s R&D facility.
