And it is one expensive ride compared to some of its rivals but it is also the most powerful one.
The Honda Civic Type R is carrying a price tag of 39, 618 euros in the Eastern European country. The model in question is more than 200 euros more expensive that its direct rival, the Volkswagen Golf R, and significantly pricier than the Ford Focus ST, which is more than 10,000 euros cheaper. The order book for the Japanese hot hatch has been opened but the first deliveries of the car will be made by the end of this year. The Civic Type R will be offered with a 5-year warranty, just like every other Honda cars out there.
The new compact hot hatch is carrying a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine under its hood, which is capable of putting down a total of 318 HP (228 kW) and it has a peak torque of 400 Nm (295 lb-ft). The unit is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission which is allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.7 seconds and to reach a top speed of 270 km/h (167 mph). The model has been officially unveiled back in March, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, and it is coming with the Four-Wheel Adaptive Damper System, with the retuned steering and the Advanced Dual Axis Strut Front Suspension, amongst others.
