Honda Civic Type R smiles in new images image

The brand new Honda Civic Type R is returning to our attention once again, this time with the help of a photo gallery.

After being officially unveiled back in March this year, the new Honda Civic Type R is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some new images. The hot hatch has been described to be “the most extreme and high-performing Type R ever built” and it is coming with the Four-wheel Adaptive Damper System, with the Advanced Dual Axis Strut Front Suspension, a revised rear suspension, 350-mm drilled discs at the front with four-piston calipers signed by Brembo, a retuned steering system and several other goodies.

The 2016 Honda Civic Type R can be ordered in two trim levels and customers will be able to choose between five exterior colors like the Milano Red, the Polished Metal, the Championship White, the Crystal Black and the Brilliant Sporty Blue. The most important part of the high-performance vehicle is found under its hood where the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol burner can be found. This is capable of putting down no less than 310 HP (228 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, available between 2,500 rpm and 4,500 rpm. The engine is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission which is allowing the hot hatch to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.7 seconds and to go up to 270 km/h (167 mph).
