The brand new Honda Civic Type R has been recently spied testing on a track, in Germany.
The Japanese based automaker Honda is getting ready to introduce the new generation of the Civic Type R, three years after the previous version has been discontinued on the Old Continent. The new model will target models like the Volkswagen Golf GTI, the Renault Megane RS, the Ford Focus ST, the Opel Astra OPC, the Kia Cee’d GT and so on and, thanks to its upgrades, it should stand out from a crowd both visually and in terms of performance.
And speaking of performance, the brand new Honda Civic Type R is expected to get a 2.0 liter engine under its hood, which should produce an impressive 300 HP. The model will also receive red Brembo brake calipers, sporty wheels wrapped in low profile tires, an aggressive body kit with a chin spoiler an a big rear wing and some other tweaks. The brand new Honda Civic Type R is expected to be officially presented to the public next month, during the Frankfurt Motor Show, or even next year, at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in March. More details on the hot hatch remain unknown for the moment.
