New teasers with the upcoming Honda Civic Type R have been released recently ahead of the hot hatch’s debut scheduled for the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The new Ford Focus RS might seem like the hot hatch of the year, but let’s not forget that the Honda Civic Type R hasn’t been unveiled yet, in its newest generation, and it is still a few weeks away, as it will be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The model in question will be packing an aggressive body kit, which will help it stand out from a crowd, packing the new front bumper, a front splitter, ventilated front fenders, aerodynamic side skirts, a prominent rear wing, a rear diffuser and a new rear bumper, amongst others.
The Japanese hot hatch will also bring a new set of large wheels, along with a Brembo braking system with 350 mm drilled discs at the front, an updated suspension system and several other goodies. The interior design of the model will also be modified and here we expect to see bucket seats, some special floor mats, the Type R badge on several parts including the steering wheel and gearshift lever and more. Under the hood, the new Honda Civic Type R will be packing a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine. No specifications on it have been released yet but it will be providing the model with a top speed of 270 km/h (167 mph). More details on the hot hatch are limited for the moment.
