Being officially presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed by the Japanese in-house tuning arm, the CR-Z Mugen RR will not reach the production line, as a press release from the company confirms it.
“Mugen of Japan has built the CR-Z Mugen RR design concept to demonstrate Mugen’s capabilities in terms of function, style, performance and agility. The car was built for show purposes only and there are currently no plans for further production.”
The Mugen CR-Z RR which was launched at the Goodwood Festival of Speed was built with carbon parts, such as a full length carbon-fiber underbody, bonnets doors and tailgate, and featured a twin central-exit exhaust, a race-developed suspension, orange four-piston mono bloc brake calipers, 18-inch alloys and a Valencia Orange Pearl exterior color.
The concept car was also equipped with an information screen which can record chassis and engine data, as well as being “home” of the Satellite Navigation and audio system. Even though it was a concept car, the Alcantara leather couldn’t be left aside.
