The Japanese based automaker Honda has recently announced that the Insight facelift model has been launched in Malaysia, where its price tag has been set at RM99, 800.
After being officially presented to the public back in September 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, time has come for Honda to launch its facelifted Insight model in Malaysia, bringing some external revisions to it. According to the car manufacturer, the Honda Insight facelift is coming with new front and rear bumpers, the headlights are wearing a tint of blue highlight, the new front grille has a blue reflector underneath, the tailgate spoiler has been slimmed, the rear wiper motor unit has been reduced in size and the overall rear visibility has increased.
Under the hood, the Honda Insight facelift is powered by a 1.3 liter IMA engine, which is developing 88 PS and 121 Nm of torque, and an electric motor, which is generating 14 PS and 78 Nm of torque, mated to a CVT. Honda engineers have been working on improving the driving quality so the model is now quitter thanks to adding noise insulation materials. The facelifted Insight is still coming with features like the HSA (Hill Start Assist), VSA, dual airbags, four exterior colors and some other interesting things. The Honda Insight facelift has a five-year or 140,000 km warranty and the model can be bought for RM99,800 on the road.
