The Japanese based automaker Honda has recently unveiled the brand new NSX Concept-GT, in its homeland, which is going to enter the 2014 Super GT racing series.
With every Honda fan out there waiting for the company to officially pull the wraps off the new NSX generation, the carmaker is taking everyone by surprise by unveiling the so-called NSX Concept-GT. The model in question is a racing car which will preview the brand’s challenger for the 2014 Super GT racing series. The new Honda NSX Concept-GT has been officially unveiled at the Suzuka Circuit recently, ahead of the 2013 season’s fifth round, which has been scheduled for this weekend.
According to the car manufacturer, the Honda NSX Concept-GT is complying with the 2014 GT500 regulations and the racer is powered by a 2.0 liter direct injected four-cylinder mid-mounted turbocharged engine, which is backed up by a hybrid system. Additional details on the racer are limited for the moment, but will probably be announced over the following months. Meanwhile, you should know that for the street version, named the Acura NSX over-seas, you will have to wait until 2015, when the model is expected to start production, in Ohio.
