A recent study released by Kelley Blue Book shows that Honda has the best brand image among all major automakers.
The Kelley Blue Book report is based on the opinion of 12, 000 customers who were looking to purchase a new car and use the company’s Web page for research. According to the 2013 Brand Image Awards, Honda Motor is considered the most trusted brand and the best value of all auto brands.
Although Honda has been one of the most prominent automaker in North America, where it derives 50% of its profits, over the past years the company had to face some drawbacks, including the 2011 natural disasters in Japan which disrupted production and brought a drop in sales. The automaker was also criticized for its redesigned Civic compact car, forcing quick overhaul and also for its attempts to break into new market segments.
Honda is now back on the track, as its sales increased 24% last year and 4% in January and February. The redesigned Accord sedan gets positive feedback from customers and the automaker continues investments in its Mexico and US plants to meet increased demand. In January, Honda sold 93,626 vehicles in the United States, an increase of 12.8%.
