Honda has begun taking orders for the 2015 Acura NSX supercar two years before it starts production.
Honda introduced the 2015 Acura NSX at this year’s Detroit auto show in January and it seems that the model has made such a big impression that customers have put their names on the waiting list two years before the automaker will start production of the supercar. The only thing they know about the model is that it looks great and has a mid-mounted V6 engine.
Customers in the UK have to make a £5,000 ($7,626) deposit to make sure that their names are on that waiting list and they will be the first to get the awesome NSX when it will hit showrooms in 2015. Honda said it has already more than 20 deposits, although the customers don’t even know the car’s final specifications.
The Acura NSX will have under its hood a mid-mounted, direct-injected V6 engine and two electric motors to power the front wheels for more grip and stability at higher speeds, but also to increase fuel economy and reduce emissions. Honda has been left without a flagship sportscar since 2005 when the original NSX ended production.
