The Japanese automaker’s popular Camry fighter is set to be unwrapped in Detroit on July 14 with a YouTube livestream for those unable to be in attendance.
Honda will officially introduce its tenth-generation Honda Accord on July 14, and to make us remember the date they decided to also drop by with a teaser sketch – which seems to imply the midsize sedan will be using similar design cues to the new Civic. Honda is looking to surprise us with a better driving experience than before, but will also adopt a sporty-aggressive styling and a premium feel inside. It seems the flamboyant look of the compact Civic – which has always stood out from the crowd – is set to mature a little on the Accord, but we can nevertheless expect an interesting proposition from the maker.
Honda has so far detailed a little bit the all-new Accord. The V6 mill has been sent to the green pasture, replaced by new turbocharged four cylinder options and the hybrid version will soldier on but with the manufacturer’s next-generation system inside. The Accord will feature a classic six-speed manual gearbox as well as the carmaker’s new 10-speed automatic, but the CVT option is also here to stay.
