The concept version of the Honda Urban SUV has recently leaked ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
Rumors regarding a new Honda crossover which will enter the B segment against new models have been around for a few months now but until today no one actually knew what the vehicle will look like. But thanks to the guys at Auto Express we now can get a glimpse of what the crossover will look like in its concept form. The image posted above is representing the Honda Urban Concept which will be based on the next generation of the Honda Jazz.
Then engine range in the Honda Urban is expected to include the new 1.6 liter diesel, found on the Civic range too, along with the 1.8 liter i-VTEC petrol unit. The model will be available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, depending on the version chosen. The Honda Urban SUV will eventually be transformed into a production car and it will go on sale against models like the Peugeot 2008, the Opel Mokka, The Ford EcoSport, the Chevrolet Trax and more. Additional details on the model will be announced in Detroit.
