Honda Urban SUV teased for Detroit
The Japanese based automaker Honda has released a sketch of the so-called Urban SUV, ahead of the model’s debut during the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
According to the car manufacturer, the Honda Urban is actually a Jazz compact based crossover which will enter the J segment. The model will add some interesting lines which should make the crossover appealing to its future customers looking for a vehicle in the segment. The Honda Urban SU will get a 1.6 liter i-DTEC Earthdreams diesel engine under its hood, along with the 1.8 liter i-VTEC petrol unit, which will send power to either the front wheels or to the all-wheel drive, depending on the version chosen.
The Honda Urban SUV Concept will be a global model and the vehicle will eventually be transformed into a production car. The Honda Urban SUV will go on sale against models like the Ford EcoSport, the Peugeot 2008, the Opel Mokka, the Chevrolet Trax and more. Additional details on the Honda Urban SUV are limited for the moment and will be announced on the 14th of January, during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
