The new Honda Vezel will become available to its future customers living in the United States sometimes next year and the model will eventually arrive to the Old Continent one year later.

The production version of the Honda Urban SUV Concept is named the Honda Vezel and the model in question is getting ready to make its market debut, in the United States, in 2014. According to the car manufacturer, Europeans will have to wait until 2015 in order to get their hands on the new model. The new Honda Vezel is actually based on the Jazz / Fit and it should have a lot of competition, especially on the Old Continent.

For example, the new Honda crossover will have to rival models like the segment opener the Nissan Juke, the Renault Captur, the Peugeot 2008, the Opel Mokka, the Ford EcoSport, the Chevrolet Trax and so on. It remains unclear for the moment what engines will power the Honda Vezel on the two markets but it seems that there will be a hybrid version available too, which will get a 1.5 ltier gasoline engine, backed up by a 22 kW electric motor, mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. More details on the model will be announced close to its debut.
