The new Honda Vision XS-1 Concept has been officially unveiled during the 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo, in India, in a premiere.
Honda’s newest creation is named the Vision XS-1 Concept and it has been officially unveiled during the 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo. The model in question is a stylish crossover and it has sliding doors with large openings on both sides which facilitate the easier access to the cabin. Honda says that despite the concept’s compact form, it can accommodate up to seven people in its three-row seating arrangement. For better accommodation to the entry and exit, the traditional B-pillar is missing.
“The Honda Vision XS-1 was designed to represent Honda’s creativity in designing compact vehicles whose market is growing all around the world. Although there is no mass-production plan for this model at the moment, Honda chose to exhibit the world premiere of this model in India, a rapidly growing market where Honda has strong ties”, says the carmaker in its official press release.
The Honda XS-1 Concept has been based on the M/M (man maximum, machine minimum) concept and it’s part of the new Exciting H Design philosophy, which will be eventually adopted by every future model of the carmaker. Additional details on this one-off Japanese vehicle are limited for the moment but chances are that we will see it and hear about it during other automotive events too.
