The upcoming Honda BR-V seven seater has been spied naked ahead of its scheduled reveal today during the Gaikindo Indonesian International Auto Show.
Looks like the Japanese automaker is forcing an assault on the SUV segments, nurse ticking the boxes in a another sector with its “new generation crossover utility vehicle”, tadalafil that looks like a stretched version of the XR-V / HR-V. While still billed as a prototype, view the picture shows the model is as much a production car as the ones named so. To cater for upscale customers, it looks ready to employ generous amounts of chrome – on the large front radiator grille, the fog light surrounds, side skirts and even on the door handles. Other design cues include roof rails, side steps and lots of plastic body cladding – around the wheel arches and also in front where the plastic has adopted a faux aluminum finish.
The model’s powertrain architecture is still an unknown but it could very well be an elongated version of the XR-V. Other reports claim the model is being based off the Mobilio MPV, which looks just as legitimate at this point. The car has been developed and produced by Honda R&D Asia Pacific in Thailand and will morph swiftly into a true production car next year using a 1.5-liter gasoline engine mated to a six speed manual gearbox or a CVT. We should have all the juicy details about the model later today after its unveil during the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesian International Auto Show.
