Hot Wheels – Top 10 stolen cars in California image

Unlike the characters in the movie “Gone in 60 Seconds” played by Angelina Jolie and Nicolas Cage, most car thieves are not targeting high-end exotic vehicles. Instead, most of the top 10 vehicles stolen in the state of California are more than 10 years old and are Japanese mass-market makes. Frank Scafidi, director of public affairs at the National Insurance Crime Bureau says that top reasons for car theft in California are thieves who work selling parts to local chop shops and just plain “stealing to get around.”
