How about “yes”! But hold on to your pants because it only exists in the virtual world, for now at least.
Mercedes-Benz has officially pulled the wraps off the brand new GLC recently. This is the official successor of the GLK but it has nothing in common with its predecessor, not even its shape, because it is closer to its smaller brother, the GLA. The new midsize crossover has been based on the C-Class and this means that there is a pretty big chance of it receiving a true AMG version, just like the D-segment vehicle which is already available for order.
When it will eventually hit the market, the Mercedes-Benz GLC 63 AMG will be making use of the same 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine which is found on the C63 AMG and also on the AMG GT sports car. The unit is capable of putting down up to 510 HP (375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque in the range-topping C63 AMG S and chances are the GLC will receive the same configuration. The image posted above is nothing more than a simple rendering, signed by X-Tomi Design. The vehicle shown in it has received a more aggressive body kit, the AMG front grille, a modified front bumper, new side skirts and a new set of wheels, covering the red brake calipers.
